What is the best time of day to see orca whales? Anytime! Orcas are out and about all day and night. So morning, afternoon or evening - it doesn’t matter. We say: go when it fits your schedule.

Whale Watching & Wildlife Tours 2012 Whale Watching Season April 7 - October 13 14 day cancelation policy in place for this package. Whale Watching Departing Friday Harbor - Tour is approx. 3 hrs. Children of all ages are welcome. Whale Watching: April 7,8,14 & 15 @ NOON- Saturdays Only Whale Watching: April 21 - October7 @ NOON daily Whale Watching Sunset Tour: June 9 to August 18 @ 5:30 PM - Daily Note that if you are taking a 5:30 whale watch tour you will need to stay the night on the island. Whale Watching: October 13 @ NOON - Saturday Only Custom &Group Whale Watching & Private Boat Charters Starting at $895.00. Fuel surcharge may apply Boat Charters available year round (weather dependant) . Custom tours depart from Friday Harbor and can include the Outer Islands. Great for a company team building event, birthday parties, wedding parties, guests who wish to concentrate on one aspect of the tour such as birds or lighthouses. September 12th and later, the flight back, Friday Harbor to Seattle, will be via wheel plane into Boeing Field at 5:30 pm. The last seaplane off San Juan Island is at 4:30 and does not work with our whale watch return time. Number of Adults (13 years or over) $79.00 pp and a $1 pp Port Fee + sales tax Number of Children (2 to 12 years) $52 per person and a $1pp Port Fee + sales tax Children of all ages are welcome to come Whale Watching with us. Number of Infants (under 2 years) Free Children under 2 years Infants must be attached to an adult by a baby carrier (back/front) so that the adult is 'hands free' or stay in the cabin with an adult.

No one see whales more often than San Juan Safaris - 95% or better. Our whale watching boat Sea Lion is 55 foot long, new and fast.

With only 40 or fewer guests aboard, there is plenty of room at the rails or in the windowed cabin for everyone.
