Travel with Kenmore Air, via seaplane. Kenmore has more than 60 years of flying experience in Seattle. The seaplane takes off from downtown Seattle, Lake Union and lands in the harbor at the charming seaside village of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. We make it so easy. Kenmore Air’s Seaplane base in Seattle is on Lake Union. This location is a short taxi ride, or tram ride, from any downtown Seattle hotel. The plane takes off from Lake Union and once in the air, you can see many of the Seattle landmarks.
You will see lakes, woods, Puget Sound, ferry boats, islands and lots more. Your spectacular flight will bring you to the docks of Friday Harbor where your pilot will direct you to our waterfront office for check in.

San Juan Safaris is steps away from the charming town where you can enjoy art galleries, museums, gift shops, bookstores and more. Sip a latte or stop for lunch in one of the many restaurants. You will then board the whale watching vessel at 1:10 pm for a 3 hour adventure with San Juan Safaris.
This will be on a new U.S. Coast Guard inspected 55 foot long vessel – Sea Lion. Sea Lion is fully equipped with a windowed, heated cabin, walk-around viewing deck, outdoor covered & open seating and a bathroom.
It is stocked with education materials, high quality binoculars, field guides, hydrophone for listening to the whales, extra coats and blankets and even a children’s wildlife library.
When the Sea Lion returns to its slip there will be about 45 minutes for last minute shopping and looking about. Then you will walk down the dock to meet your seaplane for your 40 minute flight back to Lake Union in Seattle.
