Whale Watch Tour Schedule


Reservations are highy reccomended for the whale watching and wildlife tours. Check in is 1/2 hour prior to the whale watching tour departure. We board at 20 minutes prior to the tour.

Once on board our seasoned naturalists and captains will brief you about the vessel, where you will be going and what you will be seeing.

We do our best to pull away on time. Tours usually last about 3 hours, but can be longer if the whales happen to be further away.

Whale Watching: April 7 & 8 and 14 & 15 at NOON- Saturday Only
Whale Watching: April 21 - to June 8 at NOON - Daily
Whale Watching: June 9- to October 7 at 1:30 PM- Daily
Whale Watching Sunset Tour: June 9 to August 18 at 5:30 PM - Daily
Whale Watching: October 13 at NOON - Saturday Only

      

Our boat is the newest 55 foot whale watching boat in the San Juan Islands.

Our marine naturalist all have science and marine biology degrees. We take only 40 or fewer guests aboard. The guide to guest radio is 20 to 1 or better. San Juan Safaris enjoys an excellant reputation for respectful wildlife viewing.

Charter a private whale watching boat

You will want to have with you: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, lunch, water, a jacket and perhaps gloves if you tend to be cold. We usually advise wearing long pants on the boat. It is generally 10 to 15 degrees cooler on open water.
